| DATA — Time Warner Telecom Dedicated Transport Services has recently completed its delivery of a "FIBER" cable to the SATC Transport Room. The "FIBER" is based on point-to-point high capacity channels for full duplex, synchronous optical transmission of digital data on SONET standard rates between 155.52 Mbps (OS-3) and 4.488 Gbps (OC-48). In summary, SATC can handle the bandwidth requirements of any company, period. Customer connections in San Antonio are terminated at the Time Warner POP, which is connected to the Time Warner Telecom Internet backbone at 90 Mbps. There are two DS3 connections - one from San Antonio to Austin and one from San Antonio to Houston to ensure reliable service.
DATA PRICING SATC has successfully negotiated "ZERO MILE" pricing for all bandwidth orders through the Time Warner system. The term "ZERO MILE" is based on the fact that any customer who desires to purchase bandwidth and is not located within a one mile radius of the CBD of San Antonio or (Bells POP) is required to pay a loop charge, which can cost up to 25% of the service purchased. SATC is the only building outside the one-mile radius that can offer dedicated fiber without loop charges. This is a DIRECT SAVING for any company locating at SATC.
VOICE/TELECOMMUNICATIONS Time Warner is supplying ISDN PRI with 23 B channels for inbound and outbound local service. SATC will effectively provide its own local dial tone, but tenants will have a choice.
